Kathryns Krafts - International Women's Day - Bespoke Wreathes and Workshops

Kathryn’s Krafts is a North East based business creating bespoke wreaths run by Kathryn Massey Allen.

We spoke to Kathryn as part of our campaign supporting International Women’s Day.

“I set up during lockdown, to be honest it was more a hobby but it grew very quickly and I was asked to present a Xmas workshop to 60 customers.

“Due to COVID it didn’t happen but I’m booked again for this year, it has now become full time and I am all ready booked through from September to December this year

Kathryn designs and crest bespoke everlasting artificial wreaths for any occasion you require.

As well as this side to her business she also is available for workshops.

The Future for Kathryn’s Krafts

So what does the future hold for Kathryn’s business?

“I really want to expand and take on an apprentice, the dream is to have my own shop expand my business to new levels.

“The best things about running my own business is that I fit my life around it and I can work at my own pace.

“I’m able to plan my week that fits into family life and that balance is so important.

“Equally I’m doing something I love and feel very passionate about.

With having her own business Kathryn is keen to offer advice for people thinking about setting up their own business.

“My honest advice about setting up your own business is, do it!

“I never dreamed it was possible but due to a pandemic it’s brought so many people out of their comfort zone and myself included I have been able to express my creativity in so many ways, and this has opened up so many other job opportunities.
