Bayberry Hollow is a small cafe and gift shop based in Tanfield Village near the town of Stanley in County Durham.
As part of the Love Beamish and Stanley campaign which we devised, we filmed this short informative news piece. We interviewed one of the owners Marcus Race about the business.
Bayberry Hollow Cafe
The cafe sits a small number of covers where guests can enjoy some wonderful homecooked food. Their menu includes delicious scones and corned beef pie.
They also serve a selection of hot drinks including their award-winning coffee.
During the Coronavirus pandemic, the business diversified and started selling takeaway food too which has proved to be very popular.
Afternoon Tea has also been successful after they launched this and visitors can choose from a range of sandwiches to eat.
Gift Shop
The Bayberry Hollow Gift Shop sells some amazing homeware items and gifts for all occasions. Whether it is for a special gift or birthday, you can browse their products. As well as their shop they also run a very successful website, bayberryhollow.co.uk, where you can order gifts online for collection or home delivery.
Special Events
Since the Directors opened the business they have renovated the upstairs to offer a private function suite which is ideal for birthday parties and Christenings.
It offers a homely atmosphere where guests can relax and enjoy their celebrations surrounded by friends and family.
Love Beamish and Stanley
In 2018 we came up with the idea of a campaign to support and promote local businesses in the DH9 area and Love Beamish and Stanley was formed.
Ran as a separate, not for profit organisation with a committee and constitution, it has won awards for the work it has delivered in the community.
